The top is built from walnut slabs with stunning grain patterns that give the piece presence and character. To reduce the visual heaviness, I added 45° chamfers to the underside, giving the table a lighter, more open appearance.

The combination of bold walnut grain, precise chamfering, and subtle maple accents creates a table that is clean, balanced, and built to last.

For contrast and detail, I incorporated maple inlays on the tabletop. The curves of the inlays match the mortise-and-tenon leg joints — a small but intentional detail that ties the design together. The legs themselves are carefully crafted using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, which provides both strength and clean visual connection to the tabletop.
